Pastor Valentine has been a leader in the field of ministry for over 26 years. He is married to the former Nellie L. McNeill and they have two children Lorenzo and Damon. He has been the father to three other siblings, Jermaine Huggins, Letia McNeill, and Clemuria McNeill.
Schools of higher learning include Appalachian State University, Shaw Divinity School, and Trinity Theological Seminary of which he earned his Master of Divinity degree and Bachelor degree. He was called to pastor Wake Baptist Grove Baptist Church in Garner, NC where he fulfilled the functions of the Sacerdotal office for over 8 years.
Upon leaving that great church he opened a bible study out of his home and when the living room began to overflow he was led to open a new ministry. Burning Bush Ministries, Inc., is a result of the prompting of the Holy Spirit and a few devoted saints of the word. To God be all the glory!
His life was forever changed when he was in a life threating accident while driving a farm tractor which turned over and pinned him underneath. Trapped and bleeding his brother and cousin were able to leverage the tractor and pull him from beneath. Dazed and bleeding he was rushed to the hospital, the grace and mercy of a good God had allowed him to escape from the clutches of death. That miracle not only saved his life, but put him upon a new road in life. He rededicated his life to Christ giving his heart, body, and soul to Christ and his hand to the church.
Pastor Valentine has a heart for preaching and teaching the word of God and his actions show a genuine love for people. His eyes begin to shins and His face starts to glow, never at a lost for words when he is talking about Jesus. He brings Jesus joy wherever he goes and gives God all the glory. A dynamic preacher he takes no credit but always closes sermons by saying " I gave you what God gave me." Though he may preach on sin and its destruction he always lets the fallen know there is "HOPE" and HIS name is JESUS."
